Hello and welcome to the University of Twente! We're very happy to see that you've found the page for the study assciation Dimensie, which is set up to support Psychology students with their students. On these webpages, we are aiming to help you a little to make sure that you are completely prepared for the academic year! If you have any questions related to the start of your studies, feel free to email us.

Checklist prospective student: 

1. Join the Open Days or Student for a Day events to see whether Psychology at the University of Twente meets your expectations.
   
   
2. Check the admission requirements for studying Psychology at the University of Twente.
   
   
3. Start your application from the 1st of October via Studielink. You can do this until ultimately 15 January (23.59 CET).
   
   
4. Once you have applied via Studielink, you will receive an invitation from the UT by e-mail to proceed with the application process through the system OSIRIS. In OSIRIS you will provide the required information and upload all necessary documents step by step, which guides you to your possible (conditional) admission.
   
   Since your complete application including all the required uploads is needed ultimately 15 January 2022, we strongly advise you to start your application well before this date. When you are an international candidate you are recommended to do so ultimately 30 November 2021, in order to be able to provide the university with the documents needed in time and to know whether or not you are admissible for the selection procedure in time as well.
   
   

5. For the academic year 2022-2023 there are 350 places available for candidates who want to start studying Psychology at the UT. Assigning these places will be determined by your performance during a selection procedure. Please note that the selection procedure takes place once per year and you can take part in the selection procedure for this programme no more than three times.

   When you (conditionally) meet the admission requirements for the Psychology programme, you will receive an invitation and further information for the selection procedure by e-mail in the first week of February. The selection procedure consists of three components that will evaluate your fit with and skills for Psychology at the UT: an online matching assignment, an online written test on scientific psychology literature and an online written test about methods and statistics. Your performance on all three components will result in an individual ranking number. Your individual ranking number can be found in Studielink on 15 April 2022. If you have a ranking number up to the maximum total number of 350 available places, you will be offered a place in the Psychology programme. You need to accept this offer within 14 days in order to secure your place.
   
   

6. After participation in the selection procedure and getting assigned a place, you need to take care of finalising your enrolment, for example providing certified copies of your recently obtained diploma(s). Follow the information and corresponding deadlines applicable for Psychology and instructions communicated by the university.
   
   

7. Sign up for the Kick-In! This is the introduction period to the Unversity of Twente which always take place in the first week before classes start. It is a great opportunity to get to know some fellow students, get to know the city and its sports, study, and other associations. During the Kick-In you will do fun activities, get important information about starting your study Psychology, and get the opportunity to join fun parties! 
   
   

8. Sign up to become a member of Dimensie! You will be provided with discount if you order your books and you can always come by the association room to get free coffee and tea or join one of our events to meet peers! 
   
   

9. How to order your books at Dimensie? By following the steps below:
    
   To order your books with a discount, you must first be a member of the study association.
   You can do this by clicking on the following link:  https://www.svdimensie.nl/become-a-member/personalia

   Then go to the 'Education' tab and then 'Books' and click on the green button "Click here to order books."
     
   Select the correct quartile and book list and click on "View Books".
    
   Check the books you need, check whether you are "member" or "to become a member" and  click Continue.
    
   Create a personal account so you can personalize your order, pay and track over track & trace.
    
   Select sending method (only possible via PostNL), you can also have it sent to Dimensie (campus).

   Select payment method and place your order.

10. Order your books! If you decide to become a member of Dimensie, you will get 10% discount on your books and you only pay €10 for that! With the €10 we pay, we will always have free coffee and tea for you ready in our association room. Next to that, we will provide you with discount to our parties, provide you with free lunch every now and then, and much more!
